  1. I do the same, just with a lot cheaper ingredient. I take a cup and fill it with half water half vinegar. Let it cook for about 3-4 minutes and let it sit for several minutes. Then simply wipe it off. I use vinegar because gallon of white distilled vinegar costs the same as 1 lemon. Plus I use a lot of vinegar for cleaning and don’t mind the smell.

  2. Hi Anne,

As a mild acid, lemon would help cut soap scum, which is generally alkali. You can dilute it at a ratio of 1 c. juice to 3 c. water, and spray it on the scum. A vinegar rinse would also work at the same ratio.

Bear in mind that lemon juice is perishable, so do not keep this solution in your cleaning cabinet. It will spoil.

    All the best,

  3. Thanks for the tip! I will definitely be trying this! You said lemons cut soap scum? How do you use it in the bathroom? Would love some tips about this! Thanks!
