This Privacy Policy discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for information collected through Going Green with Lisa Bronner’s mail, email, or text messages, and all related domains, subdomains, and or/or any content contained within them (the “Site”) (collectively, the “Services”). Going Green with Lisa Bronner believes in protecting your privacy (“You” or “you”). We may automatically collect identifiable information, such as Internet Protocol (“IP”), pages viewed, computer type, screen resolution, operating system version, Internet browser type and version, through cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, and other technologies, and other data (“Automatically Collected Information”). 

Session Analytics Information. We may automatically collect information about your hardware devices (i.e., your computer or mobile device) when you access the Site. For example, we may collect your IP address, which is the number automatically assigned to your computer or mobile device whenever you access the Internet, as well as information about the type of Web browser software you use and the referring Website, if any. Your IP address does not typically identify your name or email address. We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our service and to administer the Site. We may also collect information about your activity on the Site, such as the time and duration of your visit, the sections of the Site that you visit, the search terms you use.   

Cookies.  We will indirectly collect information from you, including internet or other similar network activity information obtained from your use of this site. This site uses cookies and/or web beacons to obtain information about your web browsing and pages you view on your computer.  We also log the information generated in the course of using our site, such as mouse movements, clicks, text entered, how long you spent on a page, where you moved on the page, and other details of your actions on our site through cookies and session replay technologies. This information may be shared with third parties to analyze the data collected on our behalf. These cookies are managed by Company and other service providers to inform, optimize, and publish ads based on your prior visits to this website. Persistent Identifiers. We automatically collect information through the use of “cookies.” A cookie is an alphanumeric file that a Website puts on your hard drive or mobile device so that it can remember something about you while you are using the Website or when you return to the Website. The Site may use a “unique device identifier” (or “UDID”) in order to remember your device each time you use it. We also automatically collect information through the use of “web beacons.”

o Absolutely Necessary Cookies. These Cookies are essential to enable you to move around a website and use its features. Without these Cookies, certain services you have asked for cannot be provided. 

o Performance Cookies. These Cookies collect information about how you use the Services. Information collected includes, the Internet browsers and operating systems used, the domain name of the website previously visited, the number of visits, average duration of visit, and pages viewed. These Cookies do not collect information that personally identifies you and only collect aggregated and anonymous information. o Web Beacons: “WebBeacons” (a.k.a. clear GIFs or pixel tags) are tiny graphic image files embedded in a web page or email that may be used to collect information about the use of the Services. The information collected by Web Beacons allows us to analyze how many people are using the Services, using selected publishers’ websites, or opening emails, and for what purpose. We and our service providers and business partners may collect this information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites when you use our Sites. We use them in order to retain the contents in your shopping cart while you are checking out other areas of the Site and to provide you with relevant advertisements.  

o Mobile Device Identifiers: As with other Tracking Tools, mobile device identifiers help us learn more about our users’ demographics and Internet behaviors in order to personalize and improve the Services. Mobile device identifiers are data stored on mobile devices that may track activities occurring on and through it, as well as the applications installed on it.  Mobile device identifiers enable collection of personal information (such as media access control, address, and location) and Traffic Data.  Use of Automatically Collected Information. 

The information collected by automated means for our business purposes may include: 

• Details about the devices that are used to access our Site (such as the IP address, and type of operating system and web browser) 

• Dates and times of visits to, and use of, our Site 

• Information about how our Site is used (such as the content that is viewed on our Site, how users navigate between webpages, and the date and time of access) 

• Details about how individuals interact with our emails (such as whether the email is opened and which links are clicked in the email) 

• URLs that refer visitors to our Sites 

• Search terms used to reach our Site 

• Targeted behavioral advertising 

Site Analytics. We may work with third-party service providers, such as Klaviyo and Log Rocket, who use the technologies described in this section to conduct website analytics to help us track and understand how visitors use our Site. 

Behavioral Advertising 

We may use a type of advertising commonly known as interest-based or online behavioral advertising.  This means that some of our partners use Automatically Collected Information to collect information about a user’s online activities to display our ads to the user based on the user’s interests (“Behavioral Advertising”). Our partners may include third-party advertisers and other third-party service providers, and such partners may collect information when you use the Services, such as IP address, mobile device ID, operating system, and demographic information. These Automatically Collected Information tools help us learn more about our users’ demographics and Internet behaviors. 

Options for Opting out of Cookies and Mobile Device Identifiers 

If we process cookies based on your consent (as indicated at the time of collection of such data), you have the right to withdraw your consent at any point in time by contacting us at goinggreen@drbronner.com. Please note that if you exercise this right, you may have to provide your consent on a case-by-case basis to enable you to utilize some or all of the Services. 

You may be able to reject cookies and/or mobile device identifiers by activating the appropriate setting on your browser or device. Although you are not required to accept our cookies or mobile device identifiers, if you block or reject them, you may not have access to all features available through the Services. 

• You may opt out of receiving certain cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) opt out page or the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) opt out page, or by installing the DAA’sAppChoices app (for iOS; for Android) on your mobile device. We still may collect information about your use of the Services even after you have opted out of Behavioral Advertising and may still serve advertisements to you via the Services based on information it collects through the Services. 

This Privacy Policy does not cover the use of cookies and other tracking tools by any third parties, and we are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third party. Please be aware that some third-party cookies can continue to track your activities online even after you have left the Services. 

“Do Not Track” (DNT) and Universal Opt-Out Preference Signals 

Some web browsers (including Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome) incorporate a “Do Not Track” (DNT) or similar feature that signals to web services that a visitor does not want to have their online activity and behavior tracked. If a web service operator elects to respond to a particular DNT signal, the web service operator may refrain from collecting certain personal information about the browser’s user. The CPRA and other laws allow for the acceptance of Opt-Out Preference Signals such as the GPC, as an option for users to transmit an Opt-Out of selling/sharing personal information. If we detect and recognize such a signal from your device or browser, we will honor it. 

In most cases, we collect Personal Information directly or indirectly from you or from third parties. Below are descriptions of some of the different types of Personal Information we process and the sources from which we obtain them: 

• Identifiers, such as name, address, email address, phone number, and username which can be used to communicate with you or provide you with information that you request. We also offer a wide selection of blogs, newsletters, articles, and videos on topics of interest to our readers and customers with ideas about the natural marketplace, fair trade, living “green” and more. If you sign up to receive such information, we will ask you to provide your first and last name, and email address. If you choose to contact us for any purpose, we will collect your contact details, your name, and the content, date and time of your message, as well as our reply and any follow-up action we take in relation to your inquiry. 

• Internet or other similar network activities, such as your internet connection, the equipment you use to access our Site, location, language preferences, and/or usage details and other communications with our network and systems. This information is collected automatically as you navigate through the Site. 

• Geolocation, we may collect information through your computer about your general location. 

• Inferences drawn from other personal information, including information we receive from other sources. We may receive personal information about you from other sources, including third parties that help us update, expand, and analyze our records, identify new customers, or prevent or detect fraud. We may also receive information about you from social media platforms, for example when you interact with us on those platforms or access our social media content. We may use this information to draw inferences about you.  The information we may receive from third parties is governed by the privacy settings, policies, and/or procedures of the relevant social media platform or third party we receive the information from, and we encourage you to review them.
   

You also may provide information to be published or displayed (hereinafter, “posted”) on public areas of the Site, or transmitted to other users of the Site or third parties (collectively, “User Contributions”). Your User Contributions are posted on and transmitted to others at your own risk. Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. Additionally, we cannot control the actions of other users of the Site with whom you may choose to share your User Contributions. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that your User Contributions will not be viewed by unauthorized persons. We reserve the right to remove User Contributions from the Site as stated in our Terms of Use. 

Subject to our Terms of Use, if you delete your User Contributions from the Site, copies of your User Contributions may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or might have been copied or stored by other Site users. Proper access and use of information provided on the Site, including User Contributions, is governed by our Terms of Use. 

Personal Information to Provide Services. We use Personal Information to contact you about our products and services, personalize your experience with us, including by presenting products or offers tailored to you, and allow you to use, communicate and interact with us or others on our Site. This may include sharing information with third parties that provide us with services such as website hosting, data analysis, infrastructure provision, information technology services, e-mail delivery services, auditing, training, and other similar services. These third parties may have access to Personal Information necessary to perform their functions but may not use it for other purposes. 

Email Communications. By providing your e-mail and checking a box, clicking the “complete” button, or some other affirmative act, you are consenting to receive messages to that email or phone number. After signing up, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from Going Green with Lisa Bronner. This agreement is not entered into as a term or requirement of any purchase or promotion. We may discontinue these programs at any time without notice. 

Online Marketing. We may disclose your personal information by allowing certain third parties (such as online advertising services and social networks) to collect your personal information via automated technologies on our Site and other applications in exchange for social networking and cross-context behavioral advertising purposes (as described above in the “Behavioral Advertising” section).  These kinds of disclosures may be considered “sales” when the personal information is exchanged for non-monetary consideration or “sharing” when the personal information is disclosed for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes. We do not have actual knowledge that we sell personal information of minors under 18 years of age. We do not sell or share sensitive personal information. 

Newsletter Marketing. If you sign up for our newsletter, we will send you emails. These emails will inform you about our launch of new products, about special sales, about promotional offers from our partners, about environmental issues we think are important, about potential employment opportunities with Going Green with Lisa Bronner that you may find of interest, and about other events taking place in stores near you. You may opt out of receiving future emails; see the “How to Remove Your Name from Our Newsletter, Mailing, Sharing or Email Lists” section below. 

We do not disclose Personal Information about you to other companies, persons or agencies except for the purposes described below: 

Service Providers: We employ other companies and individuals to perform certain Web site and other business functions on our behalf. Examples include operating and maintaining our Site, sending mail and email, analyzing data, providing marketing consultation and assistance, and distributing customer surveys. These companies and individuals have access only to personal information needed to perform their work and they may not use it for any other purposes.

Business Transfers: As we continue to develop our business, we might sell or buy subsidiaries or business units, or if we go out of business or enter bankruptcy. In such transactions, customer information generally is one of the transferred business assets but remains subject to the promises made in any pre-existing Privacy Policy (unless the customer consents otherwise). Also, in the unlikely event that Going Green with Lisa Bronner or substantially all of its assets are acquired, customer information will be one of the transferred assets. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur and that any acquirer of user information may use your information per this Privacy Policy.

To designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, please provide us with a power of attorney or other legally binding written document signed by you and identifying your agent. We may also verify the identity of your designated agent. 

We will use the information you provide to verify your request against the records we maintain. We will not use the information you provide to verify your request for any other purpose. We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you.

Personal Information Sales and Sharing Opt-Out and Opt-In Rights 

If you are age 18 or older, you may have the right to direct us to not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising at any time. We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we actually know are less than 18 years old. Consumers who opt-in to personal information sales or sharing may opt-out of future sales or sharing at any time.

You do not need to create an account with us to exercise your opt-out rights. We will only use personal information provided in an opt-out request to review and comply with the request. 

Non-Discrimination 

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights. 

We will generally retain information about you for so long as we have a legal or business purpose for it or a legal requirement to maintain it.  The criteria used to determine our retention periods include: 

• The length of time we have an ongoing relationship with you and provide services to you (for example, for as long as you are a customer or keep purchasing our products or using our services) and the length of time thereafter during which we may have a legitimate need to reference your personal information to address issues that may arise;

By providing us with Personal Information, you consent to the storage or processing of your Personal Information in the United States and acknowledge that the Personal Information will be subject to the laws of the United States, including the ability of governments, courts or law enforcement or regulatory agencies of the United States to obtain disclosure of your Personal Information.
